Top Travel Apps Performance in South America Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the top five travel and local apps on the Android platform showed varied performance trends across South America. Here’s a closer look at the metrics for these apps, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Airbnb experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 222K and dipping to approximately 123K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, weekly active users increased from 4.6M to 4.5M, indicating sustained engagement.

The Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map app saw fluctuations in downloads, beginning with 164K and decreasing to 97K before a slight recovery to 97K. Revenue varied weekly but peaked at $119 in late May. Active users dropped from 1M to around 797K, showing a decrease over the quarter.

SUBE maintained a steady download rate, starting at 76K and peaking at 94K in early May before stabilizing around 82K. Active users remained consistently high, with a slight increase from 3.9M to 3.8M throughout the quarter.

Google Earth showed a consistent download pattern, initially at 79K, with a peak of 88K in late June. Active users displayed an increase from 1.2M to 1.3M, reflecting growing user engagement.

Finally, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a stable download trend, with numbers hovering around 78K to 75K. The active user base fluctuated slightly, maintaining an average of around 3.9M.
